“People meet in architecture” is the main theme of the 12th Venice Architecture Biennale, beginning on August 29th. The organisers German pavilion invited architects and artists to question the theme of “longing” (Sehnsucht). Visitors will enter the building through a golden curtain: instead of representative models, plans or photographs, the pavilion itself will be transformed into a site of longing. Moreover, 180 German and international architects and artists have provided sketches of their architectural longings (until 21 November).
