Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu will join Mr Stanislaw Tillich, Minister-President of the Free State of Saxony, and Martin Roth, Director-General of the Dresden State Art Collections, to open the Exhibition “Türckische Cammer”.
This also marks the Dresden State Art Collections’ opening of a new collection in the Residenzschloss (Dresden Royal Palace) – the “Türckische Cammer” (Turkish Chamber) – as part of the Armoury. This unique collection contains Ottoman and Oriental-style Art.
It is the most extensive collection of its kind in Germany and will be displayed in a permanent exhibition for the first time since the Second World War.
